Covid 19 Updates
Regarding dinners - All businesses have changed their hours and menus. It is best that you contact the dining establishments directly to get the most up to date information - They are reviewing thier operating model daily - so unfortunately we are unable to provide advice on what they are doing. You may need to prebook at some venues.
Early check ins and Late check outs no longer allowed due to the extra measures we are taking with deep cleaning, sanitising and disinfecting between stays. We can assure you that we are doing more than what is required by government advice for your safety and ours. Check in starts from 2pm and Check out is 10am and late fee's will strictly now apply.
How do you guarantee that booking directly with you is the best rate?
We will match prices you find on OTA (online travel agencies) like booking.com or expedia or wotif. Therefore we can guarantee that you won't find a cheaper price than booking directly with us at www.mountain-view.com.au or 0260761766. We have deliberately discounted our prices if you book directly with us to attract more direct bookings. To book directly with us can only be done via our website www.mountain-view.com.au or call us directly on 0260761766.
Terms and Conditions:
1-We will price match any verified price that is in $AUD for Mountain View Motel in Corryong for the exact same dates and room types and number of guests as long as it's verified 24hrs prior to check in (2pm) as long as you booked directly with us via www.mountain-view.com.au or 0260761766.
2-Third party websites quite often advertise lower prices but when you follow through with the reservation the pricing is usually higher. If you see a lower price please confirm that it truly is a lower price and then email us a direct link via email for us to verify.
3-If you booked directly with us (via or 0260761766) and find a cheaper price anywhere else and we are unable to verify or price match and you are still in the free cancellation period we can cancel your booking and then you can book with the site that offers the cheaper price.
4-We won't price match old advertising in the form of tourist directories, brochures, pamphlets, maps, social media, previous stays, tourist websites, old invoices, old quotes. You must be able to book at the price from where ever you have found the lower price.
5- We won't price match prices not available to the general public - Example if you've claimed reward points or loyalty programs.
6-Price match / guarantee only applies if you are able to book that room via that website.
7-If you've booked with a third party website and our prices are lower and you are still in the free cancellation period you can cancel with the third party and rebook with us only via or 0260761766 - WE DO ADVISE TO CALL US IN THIS SITUATION PRIOR TO CANCELLING IN CASE YOUR ROOM BOOKS OUT TO SOMEONE ELSE BEFORE YOU GET TO REBOOK IT.
8-If you've booked with a third party website and our prices are lower and you're in the non refundable cancellation period, we advise that you ring the third party website for assistance, we are legally not allow to alter/modify your booking (including pricing) as legally the booking is the third party website's booking and not ours.
When do you take payment?
We do require a credit card at the time of booking, we use this to charge for your room and also as a security/bond. We charge the card 2 days prior to check in for the 1st nights rate which becomes non-refundable with the balance (if any) due on check in. If you book within the 2 days of check in (48hrs) your card will be charged straight away. If we are unable to charge your card your booking might be cancelled.
What do you do with my email / personal details?
We only use your email to send a confirmation of your booking. We also send an email 3 days prior to your arrival with important information about your stay and a reminder that your free cancellation period is approaching and that is all. Your personal details are stored in the secure database for future stays and are not shared with anyone. Your credit card details are encrypted and automatically deleted 72hrs after check out, so you will need to resupply these details again when rebooking.
How far are you from a ski field?
We are 102km from Thredbo (1hr 45minutes), 164km to Perisher (2hrs 25mins), Selwyn Snow resort was affected by the January 2020 fires and is not currently open. Please check maps.google.com.au and also livetraffic.com.au for road conditions / closures.
Where can i get snow chains?
You can get some snow chains in Khancoban (Caravan park or Roadhouse) and you can drop them off in Jindabyne if you're not returning this way
What are the road conditions like?
Please check livetraffic.com.au or call the visitor information centre from where you are coming from.
Are you pet friendly?
No - We do not allow any pets on the property (no matter how well trained or quiet they are) We are also surrounded by farmland with electric fences. We only allow dogs that are accredited service animals that have up to date accreditation paper work that show it's passed the public access test. As per the disability discrimination act - Therapy pets do not fall under this heading and are not allowed. Pet friendly accommodation can be found at the local caravan parks.
Do all your rooms have Mountain Views?
Our rooms that have Mountain Views are called "Mountain View Room (3.5star)"... All other rooms don't have a direct view of the mountain, but you still can enjoy the view at the BBQ area, pool, back table in the garden.
I'm booked in on a Public holiday, what do i need to know?
We are a small family run business with small kids and we work 365 days a year. But on public holidays we do not operate our breakfast room, cooked breakfasts or service the rooms. We will provide grab n go breakfast packs the night prior for you to prepare in your room. On Xmas day reception is closed. Please keep in mind, Corryong is a small town and lots of businesses will be closed on public holidays.. So please bring supplies if you would like to use the BBQ.
Do the rooms have kitchens or cooking facilities?
We only have microwaves in the rooms, BUT WE DO NOT ALLOW COOKING IN THE ROOM apart from normal microwave cooking and will charge your card if evidence of cooking in the room, so please leave your electric frypans at home and use our free BBQ that has all the utensils you need to cook a bbq... Anything that's missing please come to reception and we will happily supply it to you if available.
Do you have microwaves?
Is breakfast included in the rate?
For a limited time only, we are including a free continental breakfast strictly between 7am and 9am in the rate. But rest assured if you still want a hot breakfast you can fill out the breakfast menu and it can be delivered between 7am and 8am. (HOT BREAKFASTS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RATE)
Public holidays the breakfast room is closed but we will provide you with a grab n go breakfast pack to be prepared in your room, hot breakfast service does not operate.
Do you have cooling / heating or extra blankets?
Yes, all rooms have split system a/c, electric blankets, spare polar fleece blankets in the cupboard.. and if your still cold we can provide an extra heater.
Do you have a bbq?
Yes, free to use with all utensils supplied (pick up from reception). We just ask you clean it after you use it for the next guest to use.
Do you have a laundry?
Yes and its free! Bring your own powder or buy a satchet for $2 in reception.
What time is reception open too?
Our hours are 8am to 11am. Closed 11am to 2pm. Reopen 2pm to 8:30pm 7 days a week exc public holidays (subject to change).
What happens if i need to check in after 8:30pm?
Let us know and we'll organise a late checkin... But please let us know prior to reception closing, call us on 0260761766 if you know your going to be late
Do you sell meals, snacks, drinks/liquor?
We do Packed lunches, Breakfasts. Reception stocks chips, chocolates, softdrink, liquor and microwave meals.
Do you have a function room for groups?
We turned it into a breakfast room! So unfortunately this is unable to be used as a function room for groups.
Do you have wifi and how much is it?
Yes and it's free.
Is parking outside the room?
Some rooms do, some rooms don't. But you won't be far away, only be a few meters away from your door.
I have a trailer or truck can i park inside?
No problem, we can fit large buses, trucks and trailers inside our premises, Just let us know at check in and we'll show you where to park.
Do you have foxtel?
With the popularity of netflix and streaming we recently removed foxtel from the rooms due to guests not using it. We have since upgraded our wifi to ensure guests are able to stream using their own devices.
Do you have couches in the room?
Do you have any interconnecting rooms or separate bedrooms?
No, all just motel rooms. All beds are in the same rooms.
Says maximum occupancy for 3 people, can i fit in another child?
No, we strictly keep to our maximum occupancy and there are different occupancies for each room type. We will cancel your booking if more people arrive and we can't fit them in. We have fire regulations to adhere to and also our prescribed accommodation registration. Please don't risk your booking and be honest with how many people are coming. We won't risk your safety or our business for a booking.
Do you have rollaway beds?

Yes, we do charge $10 per night and we supply linen and blankets as well.
Is there restaurants / food nearby?
Yes, Corryong has a mix of pubs, restaurants, takeaway shops from only 200m away from us. Please contact them directly for questions about hours and menu.
Is there petrol nearby?
We are 600m away from the BP. They do close at 6pm weekdays and 1pm on weekends but closed on public holidays.
I've booked on a public holiday, will anything be open?
High chances are most places will close, please call the establishments directly to find out. You can use our free BBQ.
Can I cook in the rooms with an electric frypan?
NO and we will charge you if found to be cooking in the rooms. The next guest doesn't appreciate it!
Can I smoke in the rooms?
NO! if the room smells of cigarette smoke (regardless if you've smoked in the room or not) and require excess cleaning, you will be charged for each night that the room is unable to be sold. So please ensure the windows are closed and doors are closed if you are smoking outside so that the smoke doesn't go in the room. This is usually a minimum of 2 nights full rate as carpets, curtains, blankets, walls all have to be cleaned. The next guest doesn't appreciate it! nor do we!

I have a group what do i need to know?
We can do a cooked breakfast or dinner in our dining room only if you have booked the whole motel. We also require a list of each persons full name (no nicknames) so that we ensure there's no double bookings and everyone is allocated the correct room, we also cross reference against our black list.
When booking 4 rooms or more we do require 1st nights payment 4 weeks prior with the balance due on arrival.
Do you have disability friendly rooms?
No, though we do have some rooms that have a 30mm step into the room and then it's flat through out and a walk in shower. But please call us to talk about it. Our family rooms and twin rooms all have a 100mm step into the bathroom.
